All my life I have been fascinated by the barely seen and overlooked details that are abundant around me as I meander through the woods and along the seashore with my eyes glued to the ground. Hidden in plain sight are the small treasures that no one else seems to notice but which give me great joy – chips of bark, split seeds and broken pods, fragments of shells, insect galls and such. My work is influenced by the construction and wearing away of these found objects. It explores my thoughts about exposure and protection, vulnerability and inaccessibility, and the passage of time and beauty.
